From the Desk of Amy – July Update

Desk

So, it’s been a while. June had me getting bad news about my father. We didn’t find out until the end of June what the actual extent of everything was.

The good news is that it is very minimal. We’re talking areas the size of the head of a pin. So yes, he’s still got cancer. But he’s likely to die of old age at this point before cancer.

July has had me doing things like office renovations and that has meant that I’ve not been able to sit and get things done. I have a whackload of things that are ready to go, but I need to be able to sit down and get shit done. So, hopefully August will see some actual physical goodies and behind the scenes stuff getting uploaded to the Patreon.

Finding out that my Dad had cancer really threw my own mental and physical health in the toilet and flushed repeatedly. I’m just getting back to feeling better, and I’m working to get better.

Everything with the pandemic has also been a learning experience. I haven’t been able to see my parents beyond a video call, because we’re not able to travel to where they are for recreation yet. Anywhere I go I wear a mask. It took me a long while to find one that didn’t trigger the fight or flight response of having something across my face. I’m also a massive introvert, but even my misanthropic butt is wanting to see my friends and family.

To sum up everything – as far as my Dad goes – best news we could expect. Office is being renovated, soon to be done. Mental and physical health is on the road to “normal” and August should have things coming more often.

Thank you for staying with me.
