Way back when I started writing the first book in any serious way, I decided that I wanted to split the whole epic thing into two trilogies. Right now, I’m concentrating on what would be counted as the second trilogy, and the second book of that.
There is a lot of shit that has gone on in my life. A LOT. I’m not going to deal with it in this post, because that’s not what I’m writing about today. I’m writing about books.
I have been working my butt off, and getting stuck on the strangest things (a title on a WIP as a block? Who’d have thunk it). But I’m writing again. I am on new medication and it is helping me immensely.
I finally feel ready to really tackle the issues that crop up with my two MC’s in the second book. It’s got a lot of twists and turns. If you read the first book – hopefully coming soon! – you’ll still be in for many surprises. But isn’t that what books are for? Isn’t that what authors do? Keep you reading the books because you want to see what happens next?
I hope you’ll like what happens in the second book. I know I am enjoying writing it. It’s a different experience from the first time I started (but never finished) the second book. Then I was pretty confident in my characters, that what I was writing would be something awesome. Now I just want to tell a story.
In the next few weeks you should finally, at long last, see the return of Fiction Friday. I have been wanting to do flash fiction in my universe for a while, and now feels like the right time to return to it.
