    Under Construction

Yet again, I’m redoing this place. Why you ask? Because I say. Because I got away from what my main drive for the place was. What my writing was about. And if you ask again why, well I suggest you watch the Spoonie Author’s Network page, because Ima be talking about it there. Also a lot of it was self doubt. I design stuff, and despite this being an occasionally paid gig, I felt like I couldn’t do anything (hello imposter syndrome). So yeah. I kind of let the bad get in front of the good. (Bad author/blogger – no cookie) So mind the dust. I’m working on the construction…

  • Oh So Frustrating

So, I have been hoping to get back into blogging for the past bit, when things were settling down, but due to some back end upgrades, some things weren’t working. Oh. So. Frustrating. Things are mostly back into position now, but life is also swinging in this strange and unusual way for me, so yet another layer of frustrating. Yep, right now I’m trying to destress and get back into having a somewhat workable routine, and life just smacks me upside the head. [takes a deep breath] Trying to concentrate on what I can fix and leave other things behind. I’m not always successful, but I am working on it.…

  • Technology, You Annoy Me…

A lot of people don’t realize that even being proficient at using technology doesn’t insulate folks like myself from becoming annoyed with it. Right now I could scream, as I’ve been driven around the bend by Spotify. It knows how to annoy me. I tells you, it does. I am grumpy as hell having had to try to track down why suddenly it decided to not play songs that it had played earlier in the day. Seeing as I like to write with background music… this was not a good situation. So, I am done about a half hour later and let me tell you, I would throw things at…

  • Code All The Things

My intention was to spend the week after easter writing. Letting the muses roam free, eating all the muse cookies they wanted. That didn’t exactly happen. In part because my life is a series of “you want to see the divine laugh? Make plans” moments. Also because in part I spent it dipping my feet back into programming. I have always loved computers. I have always loved programming. My first brush with it was way back in the day of GW-BASIC (and Watcom Basic) and moving onto QBasic before I jumped into Java. I loved Java. I hated, and still do, the swing class. Also, I have a burning hatred for the old Unisys…

  • Coding for Fun and Profit?

Not much to say right now that you’ll all want to read. I’m coding something weblike for a friend. I am exhausted, the little miss is having a hard time lately with sleeping and why must one more chapter lead to three am in the morning and a finished book? Also, Joey from Friends’ trick of putting a book that scares you in the freezer – well, it doesn’t work so well on electronics. 😉
