• Rediscovery

I’ve been holding off on writing a new entry for a while. I just couldn’t find anything to say. And what I could find to say, really, didn’t warrant being said. Until something happened that forced me onto a journey. A journey of rediscovery. I was really down when it came to my writing (amongst other things). I can remember a time when I really felt that I had something special to share with the world. That has felt like a lifetime ago. For me, writing became a heinous job, that I didn’t want to deal with. You might ask why? I’ve been through a lot in the last five…

  • So Many Ideas, So Little Time

It seems like it’s that time of year. I swear this is when I die by the attack of the plot bunnies. I get tons of ideas, but so little time to work on them. Thankfully, that’s what I keep little notebooks around for. Also, see Evernote. Other than that, life has kept me busy, so I’ve not had a lot of time to get pen to paper and get any traction on my writing. I am getting better both mentally and physically, and maybe soon I’ll talk more about that journey. The other big thing that I’ve been up to is revamping my book page here. It’s still a…

  • Words Affect People

In 2007, I set out to prove to myself that I could write a novel. I gave myself a deadline of one year. I finished it with time to spare. After a period of sitting on it, I decided to make some small edits and start the process of refinement, so I might submit the manuscript to agents and publishers. Now, as I began this process, I went overseas to visit a friend of mine. They were a bibliophile and well educated. Their opinion mattered very much to me. So, I handed over the standard first three chapters and waited. Turns out, I didn’t have long to wait. They read…

  • Under the Mistletoe

I’m going to preface this with there is adult content in this. If that bothers you, look away now. This was written shortly after I’d finished the first book. Seeing as the book has been published, I figured this was the year to release this into the world. Again, you have been warned.

  • Signs of The Times

It’s the end of the year, and that’s not an easy time for many of us. From the emphasis on family and giving the right gift(s) it’s not easy. Also, for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, we’re in the time of the year where the sunshine is weaker than the weakest tea, and that doesn’t help with that holly jolly feeling we’re all supposed to have. I get you, folks who hate this time of year. I hear you. I feel you. It’s a damn hard time on the calendar. You are not alone. Our current political climate doesn’t help any of us either. It’s a rough damn…
